Including salary information

Follow the steps below to include salary information in your job ads and therefore attract more suitable candidates.

Step 1 - Select Pay Structure

Select the appropriate pay structure from the list.

Step 1

Step 2 - Select Salary Range for Search

If you want jobseekers to find your ad when they refine their search results by a salary range, you must allocate a salary range here. Doing this will not result in salary being visible to the jobseeker, this is determined in Step 3.
  1. Select From value (the minimum value of the salary range)
  2. Select To value (the maximum value of the salary range)
Choose from the pre-defined flexible ranges (detailed in Appendix 1).

Step 2

Note: Jobseekers will be provided with the option to refine search results by a salary range when a sufficient number of job ads within the search results contain salary information.

Step 3 - Enter Salary to be Displayed on the Ad

This field can be used to provide jobseekers with additional salary information which will be displayed on the job ad. E.g. “$50K + car + parking”.

Initially, the value of this field is based on the selections made in the Pay Structure and Salary Range fields. However, you have full control over this field and can modify the information or delete it.

Note: If this field is left blank, salary information will not display on your ad.

This field has a 50 character limit.

Step 3

Note: If you are Editing an Existing Ad

If you had existing ads on SEEK before the salary data changes occurred, you will be presented with the new salary data format when editing your job ad.

Where possible, we have automatically matched your original salary data to relevant ranges in the Salary Range for Searching field (you may edit this information if required). If your salary range was too broad for us to match it, you will need to select it manually (as per Step 2). You can then choose to edit or delete the text in the Salary Display on Ad field as per Step 3.

Appendix 1 - Salary Ranges

  • The salary ranges below are those that jobseekers will use when refining by salary within search results.

  • You can choose a range which covers a maximum of 2 adjoining pay ranges. We encourage you to be as accurate as possible as it will ensure the most relevant jobseekers view your ad.
