Purchasing

Will I still be able to purchase Premium Ads through my Sales representative at SEEK?

The online channel is available in parallel to the SEEK Sales channel so SEEK's salespeople will still be available to help you with all your needs.

It is completely at your discretion which channel you use to purchase Premium Ads.

However, it is important to keep in mind that Premium Ads are highly sought after and the online channel may provide the fastest and most up-to-date picture of availability, providing you with greater certainty of securing the Premium Ad slot you need.

Will the availability status of Premium Ads update even while I'm searching?

The status of the Premium Ads displayed when you perform a search will update if you "Refresh" your browser.

If you attempt to purchase a slot which has since been purchased by someone else we'll show you that the Premium Ad is no longer available and offer the opportunity to search for another suitable Premium Ad

Can I search for Premium Ads without logging into my SEEK account?

Yes. You can search for Premium Ad availability without logging into your SEEK account, ensuring there is no delay in finding the Premium Ad you need.

If you proceed to purchase a Premium Ad, you will then be required to login to your SEEK account.

Can I limit access / ability to purchase for different users of my SEEK account?

To purchase Premium Ads online, you must have the relevant SEEK account username and password details.

Access to these account details and, therefore, who is able to purchase Premium Ads online, is at the discretion of your organisation.

How far in advance will I be able to book Premium Ads online?

We release Premium Ads in 6 month "windows", usually 3-4 weeks before the first Tuesday of the booking window.

When does the Premium Ad actually become "booked"?

Premium Ads have limited availability so it is only when you proceed to Checkout and confirm payment that the Premium Ad will become booked.

Until you have checked out and confirmed payment your Premium Ad is still available to be purchased by another advertiser.

How will Premium Ads purchased through my SEEK sales representative appear online?

When you login to your SEEK account to manage your Premium Ads online, the schedule of your Premium Ad bookings will reflect all purchases made online, as well as those made through your SEEK sales representative.

If you have contracts pending through your SEEK sales representative these Premium Ads will appear in your schedule as Contract Pending.

Can I use Premium Ads online if I use a bulk importer / uploader?

Yes.

With the introduction of the online functionality you can now allocate current, draft or archived ads from within your SEEK account to your Premium Ads online at your convenience.

Can I purchase Premium Ads online if my organisation is part of a Primary / Linked account hierarchy?

Yes. Anyone within an organisation can purchase Premium Ads online if they have access to their SEEK account login details.

Use of a SEEK account to purchase Premium Ads or any other products is at your discretion.

Remember that you have the choice as to how you prefer to purchase Premium Ads – online or via your SEEK sales representative.

Can I use Premium Ads online if I am an Advertising Agency?

No. Premium Ads online is not yet available for Advertising Agencies. Please continue to purchase Premium Ads through your Sales or Customer Service contact.

Can I cancel Premium Ads once my payment has been processed?

Premium Ads are highly valued limited inventory and therefore cannot be cancelled once payment is made and the Premium Ad booking confirmed.


Providing Ad Details

Will I still be reminded to provide the ad details for my Premium Ads?

Yes.

If you have not already provided the ad details for your Premium Ads, you will receive email reminders on the Wednesday and Monday prior to the Premium Ad's Tuesday start date (6 days and 1 day prior).

Once you assign ad details, you will no longer receive additional reminders.

Can I provide ad details for a Premium Ad using an ad from a different account to that in which the Premium Ad was purchased?

No. When providing ad details for a Premium Ad online, only ads in the same account under which the Premium Ad was purchased can be used.

To use ad details from another account, you will need to contact your SEEK Customer Service representative on 1300 658 700 for further information or assistance.

Do I need to provide all the ad details at once?

Yes. All the mandatory fields must be completed before ad details can be assigned to a Premium Ad.

What if I assign the wrong ad details to a Premium Ad?

To prevent this from happening, we'll show you a preview of your selected ad before you assign it.

However, in the event that you do select the wrong ad after previewing and assigning, you will be able to edit the assigned content to correct your mistake.

Can I still assign ad details to a Premium Ad using job ads sent through my bulk importer / uploader?

Yes. Any job ads uploaded via your bulk importer / uploader will appear as existing ads in your SEEK account and will therefore be available for use to assign ad details to your Premium Ads.

This process will be faster and easier as you will now be able to assign these ads yourself, rather than needing to contact SEEK Customer Service.

Can I provide ad details for my Premium Ads online if my organisation is part of a Primary / Linked account hierarchy?

Yes.

If the ad details for the Premium Ad are to be sourced from the same account under which the Premium Ad was purchased, the ad details can be provided online.

Alternatively, if the ad details for the Premium Ad are to be sourced from a different account to that under which the Premium Ad was purchased, the ad details should continue to be provided through SEEK Customer Service.

Upgrading to a StandOut or Premium Ad

Can I upgrade a Classic or StandOut Ad to a Premium Ad?

Yes. You are now able to better manage your job ads by choosing to upgrade them to either a StandOut or Premium Ad:

  • Login into your SEEK account and choose to view Current job ads within the Manage Ads section.
  • Select the job ad you would like to Upgrade.

A Premium Ad will only be offered as an upgrade option if there is availability within the next 2 week period.

Important note: An upgrade to a StandOut ad will result in an incremental charge, while an upgrade to a Premium Ad will incur the full cost of a new Premium Ad - $220, $550 or $650 plus GST, depending on the classification.

What will happen to my current ad when I upgrade to a StandOut or Premium Ad?

Upgrade to a StandOut Ad

When you upgrade a current ad to a StandOut Ad, the features of a StandOut Ad (logo and 3 key selling points) will be applied to your current job ad for the remainder of its life on SEEK.

Upgrading a current ad to a StandOut Ad will not result in your job ad being placed at the top of the search results.

Upgrade to a Premium Ad

When you upgrade a current ad to a Premium Ad, the ad details from the current ad are copied and assigned to a new Premium Ad.

Consequently, you will have 2 job ads appearing in the search results; your new Premium Ad in one of the top 2 positions for 7 days, and your original ad within the body of the search results.

After 7 days, your Premium Ad will no longer appear at the top of the search results, however it will retain all the benefits of a StandOut ad for the remaining 23 days (unless you expire the ad earlier).

How will upgraded ads appear in my reports?

Upgrade to a StandOut Ad

When you upgrade a current ad to a StandOut ad, the job ad will continue to have the same Job Ad ID and / or reference number.

Upgrade to a Premium Ad

When you upgrade a current ad to a Premium Ad, the Premium Ad will have a different Job Ad ID and / or reference number to the original ad and will therefore be reported on separately.

Will I still be reminded to provide the ad details for my Premium Ads?

Yes.

If you have not already provided the ad details for your Premium Ads, you will receive email reminders on the Wednesday and Monday prior to the Premium Ad's Tuesday start date (6 days and 1 day prior).

Who will receive the email reminders to provide the ad details for my Premium Ads?

Email reminders will be sent to the Primary Contact on your SEEK account.

If you're not sure who the Primary Contact is on your account please call SEEK Customer Service on 1300 658 700 for further information.

If I have 10 Premium Ads starting on the same Tuesday, will I receive 10 separate email reminders?

No. You will receive one email reminder detailing all the Premium Ads requiring ad details.

Why can't I set an Alert to be informed when a Premium Ad becomes available?

To set an alert you must be logged into your SEEK account.

Who will the alerts be sent to?

To make it most convenient, the email address for the alert will automatically populate with the email address of the Primary Contact on your SEEK account.

You will then be able to edit the email address to which you would like the alert sent.

If I receive an alert informing me that a Premium Ad has become available, does that Premium Ad automatically belong to me?

All SEEK advertisers are able to set an alert for a Premium Ad so when you receive an alert informing you that a Premium Ad has become available, it is likely that others have also received a similar alert.

Premium Ads are sold on a first come, first served basis so act quickly when your alert emails arrive.


Payment

Will I still be able to pay for Premium Ads by invoice even if I purchase online?

Yes. You can pay for your Premium Ads using Invoice or Credit Card.

When will I be charged?

If you choose to pay by credit card your payment will processed straight away.

If you choose to pay by invoice, your invoice will be sent on the start date of your Premium Ad.

Can I cancel Premium Ads once my payment has been processed?

Premium Ads are highly valued limited inventory and therefore cannot be cancelled once payment is made and the Premium Ad booking confirmed.
