The best way to get your resume in front of a potential employer is to know someone who is willing to recommend you. This could be someone you met while studying advertising, through the AFA’s networking evenings, through an internship, or through friends of friends.
Take out a student membership of any of the industry support groups and go along to industry nights. Entering the student category of the awards show is also a great way to get noticed. If you win, you’ll be invited to the awards presentation, and probably meet the industry’s key players.
