Building and construction courses can be found in many different faculties across the TAFE spectrum. The timeframe for different levels of qualifications vary.
All TAFE courses provide vocational training – from Certificate 1, which offers foundation skills, to the Diploma, which gives students a broad range of complex technical skills and in-depth knowledge. Even the courses at the more academic end of the scale, the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma, include training modules.
TAFE course structures are generally very flexible, allowing those working in the industry to fit their studies around their work schedule.
TAFE institutions are state-based, but TAFE qualifications are uniform and recognised across the nation.
