To become a professional engineer you need to complete an engineering degree that has been approved by Engineers Australia.
This means you will have had to of studied a high level of maths, physics and possibly chemistry at school (depending on the degree you choose).
It is also possible to become an engineering technologist. To do this, you will need to complete a three-year engineering technology degree.
Or you could choose to become an engineering associate by completing a two-year advanced diploma in engineering through TAFE.
